This document is an important ethnological and linguistic study from the early American colonial period in the Philippines, published as a monograph by the Catholic Anthropological Conference in 1932. The author, a missionary affiliated with the Congregatio Immaculati Cordis Mariae (C.I.C.M.), conducted extensive field research while living among the Isneg people in the Apayaw sub-province of the Mountain Province, Northern Luzon. The work documents the life, language, and customs of the Isneg people, providing a detailed, first-hand account of their indigenous culture and linguistic structure at a time when their traditional way of life was undergoing rapid change due to external influences, including government contact and the influx of Christian Iloko settlers. It serves as a foundational historical and anthropological source for the study of the Cordillera region and its non-Christian tribes.
