Terrain handbook 34: Tacloban (Philippine series)

This document, Terrain Handbook 34, is a classified military intelligence report prepared by the Allied Geographical Section (AGS) of the Southwest Pacific Area (SWPA), under the command of General Douglas MacArthur. Dated September 25, 1944, this handbook is arguably the single most important in the entire Philippine series, as it was published less than a month before the Battle of Leyte (October 20, 1944)—the start of the campaign to liberate the Philippines.

The book is considered valuable. It is advised that researchers use digital copy rather than physical books for preservation purposes.
