The Portal 1978 is a vital archival publication maintained within the Sillimaniana and Archives Section of the Silliman University Library System. As the official university yearbook for the 1977-1978 academic year, it chronicles the institution during the latter half of the 1970s. This volume serves as a primary source documenting the university's academic achievements, faculty rosters, and student life under the ongoing socio-political constraints of the Martial Law period. It captures the "Silliman Spirit" through its coverage of campus organizations, athletics, and cultural events, reflecting the institution's resilience and continued commitment to Christian education and academic excellence during a significant decade of national transition.
