About this record

This document constitutes a page from Laura Watson Benedict’s landmark ethnographic study on the Bagobo people of southeastern Mindanao. Benedict, an early American pioneer in Philippine anthropology, conducted extensive fieldwork in the Davao region between 1906 and 1908 during the American colonial administration. Her documentation provides invaluable insight into pre-colonial indigenous practices, religious rites, folk healing, and mythologies that persisted independently of Islamic or Christian influence.

The book is considered valuable.  It is advised that researchers use digital copy rather than physical books for preservation purposes.
